Masking

You can stop pretending today, tomorrow, the day after and anytime on. Cos true friends will understand whatever it is. (-;

Some things i can't exactly say it out here and i don't think i would want to say anything about it but i kinda just had this thought that you know, sometimes, we shouldn't be in pretense in front of our true friends because i firmly believe that if they are really your friend, they will understand whatever that happens. Some things may not be acceptable by society, by family, by friends; simply put it: not everyone can accept everything that one do. BUT, be it family or friends, i believe there will always be a day where they will come to accept it, accept us for who we are if they really understand you.

I mean, come on, we are born imperfect, nobody can firmly stand in front of the world and say, I AM PERFECT. So no matter what flaws and imperfections one has, unless you can tell the world that you're perfect, there is no reason why we shouldn't accept people for who they are and the things they do.

Life's full of surprises, we meet people from different walks of life, people of different personalities and characters and life's short, so if we give up friendship for the simple reason that 'we cannot accept who they are', then how many people would you have missed in your entire lifetime? How many beautiful memories, bonds and experiences would you miss?

It's okay if you're unhappy and you let your friends know it, just like how you share your joys and happiness with your friends. It's okay, it's okay... No matter what happens, I stand by my view that True friends are those who will be with you through your hard times, enjoy your happiness with you, understand and accept you even if others don't and I think what we can do as a friend, is to let down our guards because protection of ourselves only create barriers between friends.

Yes, this thought and argument is kinda one-sided because you'll never know when your friends will betray or hurt you BUT, if you never try, you'll never know. If you don't give a chance for your friends, you'll never know how amazing the friendships can get. I mean, in life, everything we do, we're always taking risks. No pain, no gain? No risks, no gain either. We should drop our masks of life and enjoy life as it is. No matter what happens, real friends stays.
