JEREMY HUANG ZUJIE!!!! Okay, I actually promised you a blogpost so here we go..

Honestly, I have no idea why we got close. Like seriously. Can't recall at all. But the main point is, we got close. Okay sounds wrong but whatever. So... I don't think we are really that close until i can tell you everything, even when I am down or what. I know you always have good intentions, will ask why I am emo. But, i will awkward la huh.(There's a reason why its called girls talk. lol)

Let's see. the more memorable memories i have would be.. how i pushed you beyond your limits for W-H-Y. Oh and the time when you came to stayover and the next morning got fire alarm and i climbed 15 floors and you got stuck. haha super epic memories. The most recent memorable incident would be xin wang cafe! playing the chinese song game! Although Im not as gan dong (like in tere's post) as of now, I will keep all these memories close to me yeah! I am not bias hor! haha. 

Anyway, I still appreciate how every time you'll ask me if i'm okay yeah! Oh and you're like a life saviour in my life man. Always get to stay out abit later with you guys cos you'll send me home! Driving us around to have dinner and dessert. Really enjoy all the night experiences. Not forgetting how you'll help me with my essays and research paper. Omg SERIOUSLY, you really life saviour. haha. thankyou for always proof reading my essay till late at night!

And thankyou for showering this xiao mei mei here with care and concern. Yes, you can continue to call me NANA, exclusive though it sounds weird. =D

天庭筵

17th November 2012, Saturday was the very first 天庭筵! I was really looking forward to it, especially on friday night because I can feel it's really a day to relax. Woke up at about 12nn on saturday. Caught up abit of sleep. Went to fetched sis after her lesson and tere after she bought her stuff from sheng siong. 

So... she starting preparing/cooking kimbap with the help of my siblings. I am a real noob in the kitchen, no joke. I don't even know where are the equipments, not to mention, I don't know which knife or chopping board is for raw/cooked food. 

Then Ben came and he helped to fry the egg and luncheon meat. 

Let's compare. haha left is by tere, right is by ben.. which one do you think will taste nicer? ;)

Soon enough the rest came and we had our 天庭筵 after tere was done with her kimbap. Ting hui left soon after. Went to wash all the utensils and stuff with the help from shermaine.

The rest started playing feng sheng...

Followed by ice cream... 

And late night free jam...

So.. this are the survivors of late night jamming. fetched them to cab/home at 130am.. 

Voices 天庭筵 Success!

Last day of Sem 1

Finally on friday, it was the end of the semester. Like a happy seriously. But it was damn hectic. Slept from 10pm-1230am the previous night. Rush IEM expository paper from 1-4am. Slept again till 9am before doing citations and editing the paper from 11am-5pm was studying for econs quiz with a half hour nap in between. 10 chapters of econs in 4.5 hours. Can die. 

After the quiz was back to Angsana to pack my stuff. Brought back quite abit of things. luckily Jeremy came to pick me up. Yvonne, Wei Liang, Yi Chen, Jeremy and I headed to Clementi Mall initially before changing plans to Holland Village when we could not get any parking. Ended up Xin Wang

Jeremy was telling me that I shouldn't get close to yvonne cos she very mean, keep complaining her angel never do anything for her... lol. So anyway, we decided not tolet yvonne go to the toilet after ordering our food.... funny moments

And I realized i forgot to take Wei Liang's food cos it striked me as a too common food.. LOL.

Anyway, we ended up playing the chinese song game which lasted for super long. Yvonne and I paired up against Wei Liang and Jeremy. All of them really very pro! After that, Jeremy fetched me home with all my barang barang. 

A good way to end my first semester in NUS. =D

Tracer's Heart 是 alamak 的

In the previous post, cos i had too many things in my mind that i had to penned, it became an entry full of words. And it's more narrative than emotive. So, i decided that this post shall more pictures (yay!) to add some colours to my blog and more personal thoughts.

 

So.... if you've read the conclusion in the previous post, you'd know that my life currently revolves around Voices and its people. Like every week and almost every day. My whatsapp top list are all voices people (on top of all the many other group chats i have). Surely you've have noticed a few names that are constantly on repeat. And one of them, you wouldn't have missed out is her. If you don't know her status currently, please refer to my whatsapp name or the title of this blog post. ;)

Yeah so, the point of this post is an appreciation post. say yay!

Okay. main point, think I have had many ups and downs the last few weeks. Like PMS and just inferior complexity and many many other stuff. Sorry can't help it that I am a pessimist. Anw, she's always there to hear me rant! Like seriously, every single thing from sad, happy, annoyed, wth to like very random things. Of course, supposedly mugging sessions didn't turned out very productive BUT... the chat sessions are mind-blowing. LIKE A OMG. Some things I have absolutely no idea what it is but end of the day, I realize Voices is NOT JUST ANY OTHER CCA. We have our fun times, our politics, our crazy moments, our lameness (omg patrick if you're reading this, I am referring to you) and one thing that doesn't change ultimately, is the memories. So what's the difference? Well, the difference is that we are people who have the same interest, same dreams coming together which makes everything so much more special. Theory of Family > Competitors applies here (ok side-tracking).

okay moving on, there's also super awesome moments that i cfm chop won't forget. All the dinners, be it in Angsana or TCC or Billy Bombers and anywhere else to come, every single outing I will bring back something memorable. I can't remb what i told her during every single outing, but i'll remb that she's always there to listen every time. So if you can tell, the zhong dian is that I am super appreciative what this supercalifragilistic-expialidocious senior/friend has done for me so far. Like really. Her role super important in my life. I really think I was super anti-social when i entered NUS..5 freaking weeks of self-doing almost everything. Until the point when Voices came into my life, I think i still had some form of resistance. It was really after knowing her and yichen that my life became so COLOURFUL. YAY.

Ok so conclusion. I am really grateful to have her as a peer and a friend. Although Im learning some bad habits from her, but ultimately, i really treasure the friendship alot! Not really a person who knows how to say thankyou but I hope this post will have a equally great significance for you as it is for me. No words can tell how appreciative I am. ( maybe cos im bad with words). So yes, thankyou for all the awesome super fun times. you have 1 more sem left and i hope (and i know) there'll be alot more good memories to come. Memories I'll treasure for a lifetime.

 

This post is like a letter to the future thyself. You know, years down the road, when I read this post again, I know I'll smile to myself and say, that's one person that made a change in my life.

Recent Happenings

So many things happened over the past few weeks. Sorry because I have a very messed up memory so i am blogging in chunks. no paragraphs so don't read if you don't have the stamina to look through chunks of words...

1) 21st birthdays

Was at teresa's birthday party on 20th Oct. was probably the only freshie there which was quite awkward at certain point in time. But, 1st 21st party ever attended. Rushed to Aranda for Hayden's party which I intended to head over first. Too bad it rained so i decided to picked yi chen up and head over to tere's first. The night was quite hectic. Alot of socializing skills needed, like seriously. Met sam who happened to be attended a party next to hayden's and can't tell how happy i was. The night ended with me driving back home with the door latch on. Hence, needed to enter from the garden... okay, kinda emo-ed for idk what reasons but the day ended well...

2) Voices Mini Concert
25th October @ LT13. Celebrated Shermaine's birthday by getting her a cake and having dinner together. Concert started promptly and it was okay not too bad. managed to use this opportunity to try out photog skills which was quite good i must say. loved some of the photos taken. Own performance was okay. WHY was epicly fast while beyond's song was epicly slow. Honestly, anyone of them on stage could have played better than me on the drums. inferior complex.. the night ended with supper at west coast plaza xin wang. a few hours of chatting, singing and eating. ok not really, didn't eat alot. probably like a few mouths. anw, jeremy fetched NUS ppl back to our halls/colleges and i ended up being on whatsapp till quite late in the morning before sleeping. Nevertheless, fun time with the voices people.

3) Starbucks gig
the gig was held over 4 days at YIH starbucks. Never really participate cos drummers are quite useless in these performances. there's no need for a drummerin the first place. okay so headed down to watch some of the voices people perform. Actually, more of like cos I am free so i go down for awhile. but eventually, i didn't take as many videos as I thought i'd. most of the videos came from wei qian. conclucion: going to starbucks is an excuse for my unwillingness to study.

4) TCC dinner
last tuesday had dinner at citylink mall's TCC with tere, patrick and rongsheng after starbucks gig. Had the october birthday card and it was ending so i decided to use it, at least the 50%. dinner was not bad, turned out to be $51 for 4 persons. worth it. had 1-for-1 gelato after that. not really an ice-cream fan but just went along with the opportunity.

5) Stayover
Tere and Jeremy came over to Angsana halloween dinner last wednesday. Totally didn't care and just sneaked them in (i told zul though). patrick came. waited before singing for black neighbourhood. back to flying seed to meet the 2 guys before going to starbucks. Regina came, brought her to my room, chatted awhile before walkin her back to starbucks and back to my room. did abit of work and intended to chill awhile with some music. Tere and jeremy came up and had some light HTHT. Slept pretty late cos i was chatting with tere. Next morning was about to head for my lesson when fire alarm rang. climbed 15 floors omg. late for class but whatever, presentation went well. Good comments and chocolate marks from prof. lol.

6) MAC fair. had a headache so i slept from 10pm-2am before walking over to meet the ECS ppl at central forum. mahjong for about an hour or so before all of us started sleeping. quite a fun night living life at central forum.

7) Voices Qing Gong yan
Headed home in the afternoon. Drove to Tere's house to fetch her before heading to vivo. slacked the night away at vivo's rooftop playinf games and guitar. dinner was at food republic with tere and shermaine. honestly the games played, i have no idea what's going on. drove tere home before heading to petrol station. first time and the guy was really helpful. home-d at about 1230am.

8) Piano concert
okay spent piano lesson in the performance studio with Jess and my bro. idk how the hell i am goin to practice merry christmas mr lawrence to like performance standard in less than a month. considering that i dun even have time to practice. music school concert on 25th, smacked right between my exams. good luck to me.

9) mugging sessions
okay so kinda met tere and jeremy at YIH student lounge, supposedly to study. chong yi came. but eventually, it was more of like a chatting session. though half the time idk what's going on. had supper at 7-11 and continued chats before going back to Angsana. Tuesday was supposedly another mugging day but i remb my tutorial wrongly and end up only managed to meet tere at night. Jeremy and his gf came over for awhile during dinner. Mugging in my room. i was like quarter productive but dun think it was very productive for tere. conclusion = cannot study tog alr. Joni wanted to borrow money for supper so i shun bian got her to get me a waffle after tere left. waffle at 1230am = fattening. ohmy. spent wednesday breakfast-ing with phoebe followed by sleeping and then doing presentation cum managing the printer set up concurrently. OMG printer finally came to angsana.

10) Jeremy's birthday dinner
just came back from dinner with jeremy, tere, rongsheng and yichen. Jeremy came over to angsana to fetch me and it was raining. thank god my NYCO hoodie came into use. plaza sing billy bombers. shared a portion with tere and yichen. was at the shop totally hot stuff before deciding to go for dessert. inital plan was ben and jerry but i simply do not want to go back there. they say first impression counts, and its true. first experience at ben and jerry was just simply too overwhelming to go there again (no, im not talking about poor customer service. personal emotions involved here). headed to tom's palette for some ice cream before we stood outside some cd shop looking at the oldies cd. jeremy dropped rongsheng and i at marina sq. the two of us stood outside music dreamer for awhile before walking to mrt. good crappy chat session with him before we spilt. finally back here in angsana and I am going down to flying seed to take picture of the printer for the announcement of its grand arrival. I am so efficient gawd.

Conclusion of events
a) My life is simply around voices. first 5 weeks of NUS was simply being anti-social. Like ohmy, just being a phantom around everywhere, going for lessons on my own most of the time. spending free time going home or staying in my room watching videos till late nights. Now, i see voices ppl almost everyday. Did a short recall, in the past 10 days, I have seen tere for like 8 days. Life is supposedly more exciting and better but sometimes, things just get awkward for me. perhaps, im too sensitive but emo is part of my nature.

b) studies is getting hyped up. no more time for watching of random videos. everyday im really tired. thankgod most assignments are done. currently left with IEM research paper and GL essay. gotta start preparing for finals already. hopefully can get at least CAP 4.3. cannot fail myself this time.

c) self-realization. think i've been putting my self-interest over my responsibilites recently. it's those times you feel like you need to just have the time to do what you want and like instead of being held down by what your commitments need you to do. can be good and bad and I am trying to maintain a balance between both.

d) Attempting to learn the instruments in band. got ben to teach me guitar and hopefully get to learn the keyboard too. Gonna learn bass from louis after his A levels. Constantly felt that I am quite lousy and band doesn't need me. THIS is pessimism. kinda thought through it and came up with this idea that since I am not as talented as any of them, i need to put in hardwork. next sem, gotta have some basics in the few instruments. THIS is optimism. I can do it. Practice doesn't always makes perfect but if you don't try you'll never know.

e) Life is apparently happening but it is also when you'll have more ups and downs frequently. Self-reminder: Just live life the way you want it.

f) thankyou to tere, jeremy, patrick, regina and the few othe voices people. Life's certainly hyped up, no doubt bout that. <3
